1. Location, Location, Location: If you have family spread across the state (or country as is the case for some of my clients!) Greensboro is a wonderful location for everyone to come together. With just a few hours drive from the coast and mountains, your out of state guests can enjoy your wedding weekend then easily visit some of North Carolina’s most beautiful spots. We also have, in my opinion, some of the most beautiful and accommodating venues in the state. Some of my favorites include the prestigious and elegant Greensboro Country Club, Revolution Mill Studios (a renovated cotton mill turned event space), and Proximity Hotel (one of the leading eco-friendly luxury hotels in the country). There are also so many smaller cities like Summerfield and Kernersville just minutes from the city proper that have beautiful country views and amazing venues!

2. Foodie Food: Greensboro is home to some amazing restaurants and caterers. From good ol fashioned Southern pork barbecue to elegant five star plated meals, you can find it all and at an affordable rate. Food trucks are becoming more and more popular in the city and are a wonderful addition to a wedding. You can go casual and serve your entire meal from the truck (everyone orders from a select menu) or you just simply reap the the logistical benefits of your caterer having one (works wonders at a venue that does not have a catering kitchen). There are so many amazing restaurant options that are perfect for your rehearsal dinner experience as well. Did you know you can have your rehearsal dinner at the Greensboro Grasshopper stadium during the warmer months? How fun is that!!?
