Emerywood Baptist Church + Adaumont Farm Wedding {Courtney + Brett} | High Point NC Wedding Planner

I am going to be honest .. I am a little sad that this wedding is over. I planned with Courtney and her mom, Sue, for over a year and they are like family now. This wedding was definitely one of my all time favorites not only for the design (I am still swooning of the florals!) but because Courtney, Brett, and their families made the day so special. I truly could not be more happy for them — these two were made for each other!!

Kind Words from the Bride | Richmond, Virginia Wedding Planner

Some kind words from one of our sweet brides, Courtney, about her wedding day experience:

At the beginning of the wedding planning process, I was a bit overwhelmed! Right away, my mom and I knew we wanted to hire a wedding planner and we immediately got into contact with Leigh Pearce! From the very first meeting with Leigh, we knew she and her team would be a great fit for us and would help to make my wedding perfect! From her services, we received so much guidance through all of the details that come along with planning a wedding. We had no idea who to hire as vendors, but Leigh gave us so many suggestions and ultimately helped us pick the amazing team of vendors that helped make our wedding day so wonderful! Leigh was truly with us every step of the way. In the midst of so many decisions, when I was indecisive and even when I knew what I wanted, Leigh helped take my ideas and dreams of what my wedding would be like and made it all happen! The entire planning process with Leigh was so wonderful and she made it so easy on us, which helped my mom, myself, and my fiancé truly enjoy the entire wedding planning process.

My favorite part of my wedding design that Leigh created was the beautiful ambiance of our reception venue. As soon as you walked in, your eyes jumped to the beautiful tables, with floral arrangements and candles everywhere! It was stunning and I know Leigh Pearce and her team were behind the beauty!! Everyone kept commenting on how beautiful the reception venue was and I truly believe that was because of the wonderful design and creativity of Leigh and her team!

My advice for those thinking of hiring Leigh is that she is worth every penny!!! You cannot go wrong by hiring Leigh! She will guide you throughout the entire process, take your ideas and dreams and make them reality, and provide you, your spouse, friends and family with the most beautiful and fun wedding ever!! So many people commented that it was the best wedding they have been to and I owe so much of that to Leigh and her team! Thank you Leigh Pearce Weddings!!!!

Pole Barn at Summerfield Farms Wedding {Kathryn + Shawn} | Greensboro NC Wedding Planner

I could not have asked for a sweeter and more fun couple to work with than Kathryn and Shawn. These two were such a blast to plan with and had such a strong vision for certain things yet were totally flexible and open minded with other plans. I love that!! Their day was a melting pot of styles — lets just say it was a little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n roll — and definitely one of my favorites. I hope you enjoy these images from the fabulous Alexa Stutts just as much as I loved planning with K+S. Enjoy!

Kind Words from the Bride | Greensboro NC Event Designer

Working with someone who also produces events for a living is always such a pleasure and Lauren was no exception. Thank you, Lauren, for these kind words!!:

When faced with the question of “what kind of wedding do you want?” we decided that a non-traditional route would suit us best. So, we secretly went down to the courthouse with only four other people, had an awesome lunch afterwards and then mailed out invitations for our celebration party for later in the winter that said surprise, we said I do! Before I began planning anything I knew that I wanted the party to be a beautiful winter themed party and that’s as far as I got. I was very overwhelmed with ideas and Pinterest and where to begin. Enter Leigh Pearce who I’m pretty sure was sent straight from heaven to make every bride’s life easier. She immediately took my few scattered ideas and made an awesome design plan that completely nailed what I was envisioning but didn’t know how to execute. I’ve had so many friends talk about how stressed they were when planning their weddings and parties and my experience couldn’t have been further from that. Leigh handled everything I asked and more including and catering meetings that I didn’t want to be involved with. She even got a gorgeous bouquet ordered for me with 3 days notice before our courthouse ceremony!

Because of Leigh and her expertise I was able to really enjoy the day of our party with my family and friends and not have to worry if everything was being setup correctly or how it would look. Throughout the entire day leading up to the party I only felt excitement and had fun getting ready with my girlfriends! Then when we got to the party I couldn’t have asked for anything more. It was the most beautiful, magical night and every detail played out flawlessly. I was talking to my mom afterwards and tried to pin point my favorite detail of the evening and I just couldn’t because it was all so perfect! My advice for those thinking of hiring Leigh is just do it!! There is no way anyone will ever regret having her sweet southern charm and magical touch as a part of their beautiful day!

1618 Wine Lounge Wedding Reception {Lauren + Adam} | Greensboro NC Event Planner

Sweet Lauren and I work together frequently as she is the catering director for one of my favorite caterers, 1618 On Location. She and Adam have been together for several years and have two of the cutest kiddos you have ever seen. So, when I got wind of their plans to wed in secret at the courthouse then throw a huge celebration for family and friends, I was ALL IN. Lauren and Adam tied the knot in September at the Greensboro Courthouse before enjoying a decadent lunch at Undercurrent complete with champagne and chocolate cake.  Once they said their I Dos, we hit the ground running to plan a seriously fun party to celebrate their marriage with amazing food, delectable desserts, copious amounts of bubbles, and a million twinkling candles and lights. I could not be more pleased with the end result and it was certainly one rockin’ party!! Congrats L+A!!!

The Newly Engaged To Do List | North Carolina Wedding Planner

Alexa’s Photography

Congratulations!! You are engaged!!! Once the initial shock has worn off and you can finally tear your eyes away from that sparkly new addition on your left hand, you may begin to feel a bit overwhelmed with the idea of planning a wedding.  Most people have never planned an event as overwhelming as a wedding and the stress of your to do list (that just keeps getting longer and longer) may be starting to creep in.  First, take a deep breath and relax!  And keep reading to find out what you can move to the top of that to do list and make your life much easier.

1. Share your exciting news and celebrate!  Obviously, you  want to call your parents, close family members, and friends first.  They will want to share in your happiness too!  Start thinking about those close friends and family members who may be a part of the wedding party (such as best man, maid of honor, and other attendants).  And make sure you enjoy actually being engaged.  Don’t let the start to planning take away from the fact that you are engaged to be married.

2. Set the budget and guest count.  Both of these tasks go hand in hand because a conservative budget simply cannot support an extensive guest list.  Find out who may be contributing to the wedding and how much each contributor is willing to spend.  Decide on a general estimate of the number of guests you like to invite to the wedding.  This is important information that needs to be known before other aspects of planning can begin (such as selecting the caterer or venue). Next, actually create a guest list.  Yes, it’s boring and tedious but you never really know how many people you want to invite until you actually start writing it down.

3. Set the date for the big day.  Ideally, you want at least 6 months to plan so that you don’t feel to rushed and go wedding-crazy.  Also, most wedding vendors book dates up to two years in advance depending on how high demand your area is so you want to make sure you don’t have to settle for someone else because you set your date too late.  If you are considering a destination like Charleston, for example, you will want to get started fairly quickly as it is an extremely popular market (and for good reason!). It is difficult to continue planning your wedding without setting a date because so many things are affected by it.

4. Get help!  Consider investing in a wedding planner.  You definitely do not need to take on this huge event by yourself.  There are a million other things in your life that take up time (work, school, children, family, friends, and the list goes on).  You don’t want to put yourself in a situation where you are so stressed and tired that you aren’t even enjoying your engagement anymore.  Having a hard time wrapping your head around the thought of hiring a planner? Think of your wedding like buying or selling a home. Technically, you do not need a real estate agent to sell your home, but the whole process is so much easier with one. Someone is there to navigate you through all your options, give advice, and troubleshoot as problems arise.  Same thing with a planner! Also, many planners offer design services as well, like we do, so you really double your investment when working with a planner.

5. What’s your wedding style?  Do you want beachy-boho or city chic?  Or do you want laid back yet refind or modern and fresh?  Knowing your wedding style will help you start considering a color palette and the event design.  Again, if you’ve hired a planning and event team, they will be a tremendous asset in this area!

Wedding industry and married friends, any additional advice you can share with the newly engaged? I would love to hear your advice!!

Kind words from the mother of the bride | Wilmington NC Wedding Planner

Working with Sue and her daughter, Courtney, were one of the highlights of 2015 for me! Sue was so sweet to share her experience with Leigh Pearce Weddings:

Before hiring Leigh Pearce to plan and design our daughter’s wedding, I knew I could handle the budgeting and smaller details. But I don’t have a creative bone in my body. Leigh took all of our daughter’s ideas and combined them into a design that we trusted, embraced and turned out to be incredible. From her services we received help in choosing and negotiating venues as well as her expertise in design. She handled obtaining all of our rentals and provided our monogrammed napkins, koozies as well as designed and produced our programs.

The most valuable part of having hired Leigh was that if there was any hitches the day of the wedding I was not aware of them. Leigh handled everything. On that day I was not having to be at the venue decorating or meeting vendors. I was able to spend the entire day with my daughter and her bridesmaids. Those are memories I will cherish forever.

My advice for anyone considering hiring Leigh is that you will not be disappointed. I truly believe she saved us, in knowing which vendors to use, what we paid her. She was worth every penny. The day was magical and we still have friends and family calling to talk about how beautiful everything was and how smoothly the entire day ran. All because of Leigh Pearce Weddings!
