Thank the heavens, it finally stopped raining after Ashley and Joe’s wedding ceremony. They were able to enjoy the property at Willow Oaks and with Anna Paschal in tow, it made for some beautiful portraits.  Back at the reception, Holly Tate put together a wonderful Southern buffet with some of the best mac and cheese this side of the Mason-Dixon. One of my favorite details of the evening was the beautiful (and tasty!) cake from Maxie B’s Bakery. They expertly copied the font from Ashley and Joe’s paper details and added a monogram on the top tier. It was easily one of my all time favorite cakes.. simple, sweet, and oh so good! Enjoy y’all and leave A+J some love!! P.S. If you missed it, check out their feature on Wedding Chicks!!

Be still my blush and bashful heart. Ashley and I immediately hit it off because of our mutual love of the color pink. We planned a beautiful lace, rustic, and oh so Southern affair at one of my favorite venues, Willow Oaks Plantation.  And thank goodness we had a really good rain plan. I always tell my brides our Plan A is rain and Plan B is sunshine. I want to make sure everything we do in one plan can not only be used in the other plan, but look just as amazing. It absolutely down poured off and on all day, so we scraped our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour and prepped for the entire event to happen inside. The candles on the mantle and lush floral wreath were the perfect back drop for Joe and Ashley’s vows.  My dear friend Anna Paschal Photography was there to capture all the lovely details and beautiful moments. I have to say.. I was pretty sad when this wedding was over. Not only did I love planning all the little details, but I loved spending time with this couple. Teresa and Drew both have the most wonderful personalities and are just those kind of people you want to be friends with. So the fact that they had a seriously swoon worth day, made it all worth while. And we were oh so lucky to have Liz Grogan to capture all of the pretty. Pop open a bottle of Cheerwine and enjoy.. this is one you will definitely want to pin. P.S.
