Best of the Best: Details {2013} | Greensboro North Carolina Wedding Planner

Yesterday I shared my favorite moments from 2013 LPW weddings.  Today I want to share some of my favorite details from this year.  From paper to cakes to linens to shoes, there is no doubt that my LPW brides have style.  I haven’t gotten all the images back from 2013, but I loved pulling from these and reliving the planning process.  Details to me make each couple’s day unique and different from any other.  I love collaborating with my clients and creative partners to find the perfect shade of pink ribbon or the right cake topper that makes a statement.  Details aren’t important to everyone (and that’s OK!), but my LPW clients find value in showing their personalities in their design.  So dive on in and soak up this inspiration. Oh! And don’t forget to use our newest  blog feature, the pin it button.  Just hover over the image and click pin.  Easy peezy!!

First up, Nicole + Matt’s invitation suite.  The classic, letterpress William Arthur was one of my all time favorites.  It had a ribbed stripe texture in the paper that made it so much more special when you hold it in your hands.  See more from this stunner of a wedding from Nancy Ray here and here.

I have never seen so many jaws drop as when Joy and Hudson’s guests entered the rotunda at the Greensboro Country Club.  We suspended a giant rod iron chandelier covered in fresh greenery and florals and it was certainly a WOW factor.  I can always count on Whitebox Photography to capture every detail perfectly.  See the rest of this lovely day here and here.

You will have to wait a bit longer to see all the gorgeousness from Erin and Brandon’s day.  But, I could not resist sharing this sweet ring bearer pillow.  I squealed when I saw the giant monogram.  Alexa’s Photography captured this sweet ring shot and it is one of my favorites!

I loved working with Abby and John because they were not afraid of some color!  I could not have been more pleased with their flowers (actually provided by their church flower guild!).  Cade Bowman captured this moment (and awesome bouquet shot) during their first look.

Stilettos and pumps are always a stunner, but I love a bride who wants something a bit different.  Anna (see her wedding to Kyle by Stephen Thrift over here) had these custom Chucks made for herself and the rest of the bridal party.  Everyone was so comfy and cut it up on the dance floor all night!

Blaire and Matt (more here!) had the most beautiful blush and bashful soiree you have every seen.  I had a hard time picking my favorite detail because there were so many! It is a tie between our custom die cut programs from Lemonseed and Co and these amazing hand painted champagne flutes we had commissioned.  Autumn Song captured each one beautifully!

Another lovely day you haven’t seen yet! Meaghan and Tim tied the knot in November and I am still working on their post.  I love this shot from Autumn Song of Meaghan and her maids.  These robes are just perfect for getting ready in and make a great photo op!

I couldn’t resist sharing another detail from Nicole and Matt‘s June wedding with Nancy Ray.  I loved every detail on our tables, but these petal linens were a show stopper.  They complimented Amy Lynne Originals floral design perfectly.

Do you have any favorite LPW wedding details from 2013?  I would love to hear!!

Best of the Best: Moments {2013} | Winston-Salem North Carolina Wedding Planner

I love the pretty linens, beautiful bouquets, and detailed tablescapes.  Pulling those elements together are easily one of my favorite parts about my job.  But more than any program or place setting, I simply love watching memory-making moments happen.  A hand squeeze between the parents of the bride while their little girl exchanges vows with the man of her dreams or a crazy best man doing the worm across the dance floor. I have an mental camera and take memory snap shots of these moments because they are why I love my job.

I haven’t had the pleasure of seeing all of the images from my 2013 weddings yet, but of the ones I have… oh man, it is a treasure trove of moments.  Below you will find just some of my very favorites.  These gorgeous images are also an amazing tribute to the photographers that captured them.  I would love to hear your comments on your favorite wedding moment (LPW or not!) from this year!

First up, Katie and Sam and their epic (yes, I went there) first look.  Elly’s Photography  took my breath away with this one.  And there are so many more moments just like this one from their day here and here.

Another sweet first look.  Kyle and Anna were just the cutest.  They chatted about their vows and promises to each other during their first look captured by Stephen Thrift.

Yeah, yeah.  It is obvious I love a first look.  But I have just one more for yall!  This one was a twist on the father/daughter first look.  Blaire and her brothers are especially close so they had to have a peek at their baby sister.  Autumn Song Photography knocked it out of the park on this one (see more here and here).

I love this moment between Abigail (see her wedding day here) and her sisters.  It was such a quick fleeting moment (a look over the shoulder before racing down the aisle) and I think speaks volumes between the relationship between these lovely ladies.  And Cade Bowman?  Complete rock star for capturing this.

This is one yall have not seen yet! I just got Miss Meaghan’s images back from Autumn Song and, per usual, they do not disappoint.  I am so excited to share these in a few weeks.  But for now, I will share this amazing post-ceremony sunset  with you.  It rained buckets at the end of the ceremony and was (almost) worth it for the sunset that came afterwards.  It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever witnessed!

Joy had a life long dream of a gospel choir serenading Oh Happy Day to guests on her wedding day.  And by golly, we made it happen! Seeing the faces of Joy and Hudson (see more here and here from my friends at Whitebox Photography) when they got out of the limo was the highlight of my day!

This one was a LPW first.  Lacie entered the reception piggyback on Clay.  A true representation of their fun loving personalities.  I just shared their day with Autumn Song over here.

Last, but certainly not least, another beauty you haven’t seen yet.  You will have to wait a bit longer to see Erin and Brandon’s big day with Alexa’s Photography, but I couldn’t resist sharing this moment.  Erin, Brandon, and their 200 guests are all gathered together under the cafe lights listening to the sweet speech from Erin’s dad.

Stay tuned for more 2013 recaps coming this week!!

Kind Words from the Parents of the Bride | Greensboro, North Carolina Wedding Planner

I loved planning with Susan and Blaire so much! Thank you for sharing your LPW experience:

We had not entertained the idea of hiring a wedding planner, but rather felt confident that we could plan it ourselves. it did not take long to realize that we had underestimated the task at hand. There were so many options to consider, things to do, decisions to be made, and services to be coordinated. We were overwhelmed and LOST!!! My daughter and I looked at one another and realized we needed help. As we began to inquire as to who might lend a hand, one name was recommended multiple times: Leigh Pearce. Thank goodness we hired Leigh! Once Leigh understood what we were striving for, she took over, and our stress level was immediately lessened. She coordinated all areas of the wedding while constantly seeking our input and approval. She provided a thorough and complete service while lifting the burden from our family. The experience was wonderful, the wedding was everything we had wished for and working with Leigh was a delight!

I could not ask for a more perfect bride and, now, friend! Thank you Erin for sharing your LPW experience!

Our wedding day was absolutely everything I dreamed it would be (and more) and I owe that to Leigh Pearce. Every single detail was considered & it was literally perfect thanks to Leigh & the LPW team. I’ll admit that I’m Type-A & a bit of a perfectionist, so the thought of having a wedding planner was a little stressful at first. I wasn’t sure I would be able to relinquish control & let someone else be a part of the process & entrust them to be in charge on the day of, but I can’t imagine how stressful it would have been to not have Leigh there every step of the way. On the wedding day, Leigh & her team were like little wedding angels that took care of absolutely everything. Much to everyone’s surprise, I was incredibly calm & able to relax & enjoy spending time with my family & bridesmaids. I didn’t have a thing to worry about besides getting ready. We even had time to dance with the band during their warm-up session, as well as, watch football with my cousins prior to the ceremony. My husband & I were able to truly enjoy the reception & had the time of our lives because we knew that everything was taken care of.
I can’t say enough about Leigh & can honestly say that we would have paid triple for her services had we known all that she would do & how wonderful she was. (That girl works her rear end off!) Not only does she help with planning every detail from music to food to decor, she also gives great suggestions for vendors- all of which were remarkable. I feel as if we could have had our wedding in a parking lot & Leigh would have still found a way to make it amazing. I already told her that I’m having her plan birthday parties for our future children & will definitely be calling her if we ever renew our vows.
All in all, I would confidently recommend Leigh to anyone (even the pickiest of brides). With the exception of my fantastic husband, Leigh Pearce was honestly the best wedding decision I made & I can’t thank her enough for making our day perfect.

Working with Susanna on her daughter, Carrie, was one of the highlights of my year. Love this sweet family!:

Magic! Leigh simply made magic. We began working with Leigh a year ago to start planning and putting together what we wanted. Her approved vendors took out the guess work. She is so knowledgeable that we could ask anything and she advise us all the way through. The rehearsal was fun and relaxed, but the wedding party was well prepared. The day of the wedding went perfectly. Leigh’s team worked so smoothly with all of us. They were so professional, yet engaged and friendly. We could not have asked for any better! Love Leigh and her team.

Thank you, Lacie, for sharing your LPW experience!!:

Leigh was such a joy to work with! She made me feel like I was her only client in the world. I wasn’t nervous at all on my wedding day…mostly because I was getting to marry the love of my life, but also because I knew Leigh had it under control — all I had to do was have fun!!
