I love the beautiful details (what planner/designer doesn’t??), but the heart of a wedding day is always moments. From a hand squeeze between the parents of the bride to belly laughs between groomsmen to the pure joy on the bride’s face when she first captures a glimpse of her groom. These are the moments that the most important day in two people’s lives creates. An amazing photographer is worth their weight in gold. These ladies and gents are true artists capturing the intangible and creating a treasured memory.

It is always a difficult job narrowing down my favorite moments from this year’s weddings. I have not had a glimpse at all of our weddings from the year, but the ones I have are full of sweet, touching, hilarious, and real moments. Below you will find just a small sampling of my favorites. Enjoy!

First up! I love this moment between Carolyn and one of her bridesmaids. Hooman perfectly captured an entire relationship in the tug of a hand. Getting ready photos area always some of my favorites from the day.

My first official Asheville wedding, picture perfect weather, and one of my favorite brides. Anna captured the moment Courtney and I had been planning and praying for for over a year in all its sunny glory! I cannot wait to share the rest of the beautiful details from this one with y’all.

I love the joy that Sara captured as Meghan and Brandon started their walk down the aisle as official husband and wife. Pure happiness!!

I love how Sara captured Katherine and Nathan’s first dance moment. It feels so intimate with the lights and their embrace .. and then you notice the 350 surrounding them. Perfection!

I almost dropped my phone I laughed so hard when Julie Instagrammed this sneak peek from Christa and Michael’s July wedding. The rest of the images just hit my inbox and I cannot wait to share their fun day!

Erin has the best smile and laugh .. I had such a hard time choosing my favorite moment from her wedding day! I absolutely love this shot after the ceremony of Andrew admiring her dress .. but I also cannot stop smiling over this moment of Erin and her dad during their awesome first dance. Anna, you are too good!
